Anything BlackBerry for Macintosh is personally one of my favorite subjects. This time BlackBerry Sync by  MarkSpace is back again with another update.  MarkSpace has updated their Macintosh BlackBerry Sync application to now support OS 5.0 devices. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Missing Sync, it’s an alternative to BlackBerry Desktop Manger for Macintosh by RIM. There’s plenty of options that this software offers that REALLY allows you to keep your device up to date with your personal computer. Maybe i’ll give this version a try with my Bold to see how it compare to RIM’s BlackBerry Desktop Manger.

Part2 BBDM for Macintosh

It’s  been  7 days since we’ve been testing BlackBerry Desktop Manger for Macintosh. We promised that we would do a follow-up and so here it is.

Installation
It was very easy to install. For Entourage users the configurations are very straight forward. Our BlackBerry was recognized the very time with no issues.

Synch Process
Note: We did a full backup of our device the first time before we attempted to  sync. Configuration of the sync options for the calendar, notes, task, and contacts were very easy to understand. We hit the sync button and without any errors or issues.  All calendar, notes, task and contacts  on both sides were in synch.

Application (App Loader)
Application loader  seem to work well too. We were able to remove applications from the device too ( thank goodness-  we didn’t brick our device) This application loader seems to work more efficient than the windows version.

It’s a short review but we just wanted to let you know - that it works! So overall the BBDM for Macintosh seems to be a successful application and we give it 8.5 out of 10. Congrats RIM!

So now it’s OCT 2nd and we MACINTOSH USERS will have our very own Desktop Manger for BlackBerry. This is very exciting and it’s one of the most anticipated applications for BlackBerry thus far. For those of you that are using MISSING SYNCH or POCKET MAC we would love to hear your feedback on the results after trying Research In Motion’s BlackBerry Desktop Manger.  Here was a great break down of the BlackBerry Desktop Manger for MAC here.

You are definitely reading this news right. RIM has made it known that they are bringing the BlackBerry Desktop manager to Macintosh in September. With this application coming soon, users will enjoy multiple devices management, device data back-up and restoration, easy updates on available software and easy iTunes, tasks, contacts, notes and calendar synchronization. Looks like Macintosh users with BlackBerry devices are finally getting what we deserve!
