BlackBerry is the Only Choice

Posted on 20th May 2009 under BlackBerry Devices, Research In Motion by admin

RIM or Research In Motion Limited believes that smartphones will still outshine netbooks no matter what. Jim Balsillie, Co-CEO of RIM stated that he will keep his visions in making smartphones, the foundation of BlackBerry business, amidst the growing popularity of netbooks and mobile internet devices. Consequently, consumers will expect that the BlackBerry company will continue crafting and generating better versions of their original phones. This means that latest editions of BlackBerry smartphones shall have improved form and enhanced features.

Why can BlackBerry easily outperform netbooks? Bob Stutz, a SAP executive answers that question easily with this, “We’ve been down this route with these kinds of devices (referring to iPaqs, notebooks, fliptops and other internet mobile devices). Why we are doing this with RIM today is because these devices don’t work.” At the end of the day, as long as consumers can do the stuffs they want to do with their BlackBerry, BlackBerry will always remain their only choice. What’s your opinion?

Well it’s been a few days now since RIM announced their BlackBerry App World Store. After the initial hiccup the actual version is now the 1.0.0.27 and hopefully other countries will be added as it is only catering for USA, Canada and the UK for the time being. If you have already downloaded from BlackBerry App World we would love to hear your thoughts on our BlackBerryChick forum.

What’s your BlackBerry Missing?

Research In Motion has come a long way since the BlackBerry 957 until now.  However, many BlackBerry users have come from many walks of life such as TREO, Windows Mobile, iPhone and Symbian.  There are many features/ applications  that RIM hasn’t yet supplied us BlackBerry users. The success of RIM within the last 3 years has been truly amazing.  Some of the features that I would like to see is perhaps a new BlackBerry OS facelift.  I’m not suggesting to break something that’s already working but to offer another OS for the average everyday user. Also, there should be MORE Macintosh support.  So what features or changes would you like to personally see from RIM?  We look forward to your responses.
