CropIt - Picture Cropping App for your BlackBerry

CropIt is a fantastic photo editing tool I just stumbled upon!  A few of my previous and much less savvy non-smart phones had this feature built in so I was really was missing it on my Storm.   I thought the ability to crop photos before emailing, messaging, Flickering, Twittering and Facebooking would be awesome.  Fortunately CrackBerry member Wfubball has now made this possible for BlackBerries for only $1.99!  CropIt is compatible with the Storm, Bold, 8900, Curve, Pearl and most of the 8xxx series.

CropIt couldn’t be easier to use.  My review and screen shots were done with my BlackBerry Storm but I’m sure it’s equally fast and simple to use on all the other compatible BlackBerries.  Whenever you’re viewing a picture, you just hit your BlackBerry menu button and then select CropIt.  A little blue dot appears which you move to the area you want to be the new top left corner of your image and you will be given the option to set crop area.  Then you just press the screen down and drag your thumb over the portion you want, hit your menu button, select crop and your picture is trimmed to your liking!

As you can see in the screen shots, my miniature dachshund Stella loves to sleep with her snout on my Storm or my husband’s…whichever one she can find free lol.

  1. CropIt is an easy to use great new Blackberry app and your reviewer, Kara, is fun to read and incredibly informed.(Thanks for the info, Kara.) However, that delicious miniature dachshund of hers totally steals the show. Wish she came with the app!

    @Malluco…you must have some feature they forgot to give the rest of us! There are some multi-step backdoor workarounds using 3rd party apps, but no crop footer on the current OS.
