Good morning to all
Another Monday is upon us, the weekends goes way too fast in the summer. This morning I am trying out a theme by Hedone Design called “Sense” it is available at Themes4bb premium store for $6.99 . It is the kind of theme that makes me sit here and want to play with for hours to try to figure out how the heck did they do this? I am pretty impressed at the way the Homescreen is set up, three icons on the bottom dock for Profiles, Phone and Manage Connections. Four Icons above that are user customized and when scrolling to the right eight more icons appear. Scrolling to the left on homescreen gets you to a white window with Messages, Calendar and SMS . Also it was pretty easy to change the wallpaper to the ones I have saved. It has hidden today option as well. Green underlays and Menu selections are featured through out the theme. However the only fault I can find with this theme is that on the BlackBerry Messenger screen you are not able to see the status of the conversation unless it is highlighted, I am the type of BlackBerry Messenger user who looks at the status of my conversations a great deal through out the day and not being able to see it is frustrating. The theme flows exceptionally well, no lag whatsoever on my Blackberry. I would suggest to try their themes, they are very well done.
Good Morning
For this weeks review I decided on www.cuteblackberrythemes.com second theme called “Moofia”. I have to say by far this is one of the best TokiDoki themes I have ever used on my Blackberry. One of the reasons I love it so much it’s BLUE, yes I have alot of pink, purple, greens but this lovely Blue theme is perfect. It features 6 Mini Icons on the homescreen, clickable clock and calendar, love the cow print icon underlays, its those little touches that make this theme very complete. Fonts are very clean and easy to read. I also have to say that the whole themeclub format is very different from regular themeclubs it has a members only forum, every third month includes access to previous themes and different walls. Check out their website for more information as I think it is a worth while investment for the Blackberrychicks!
Happy Monday to all my BlackBerrychicks
I thought I would do something different this Monday. It seems to be the rage right now to join themeclub’s and they seem to be popping up all over the place. I would like some feedback from all of you, what are the pro’s and con’s of a themeclub? What makes you want to come back month after month to that certain designer and which designer is your favorite? How many themes do you expect for the fee? What are your favorite types of themes? Would you rather the themes to be exclusive or have it set up as a site that you can join?
please drop me a quick email to tips@blackberrychick.com and let me know what you all think
Happy Monday everyone
I am very excited to show you all this theme called “Tempe” By Yuki. It is very wallpaper friendly with 8 icons as a hidden dock. I have seen alot of the wallpaper friendly themes lately and decided to give it a try with various free themes from different designers, but found this one of the cleanest most efficient. The default wallpaper is grey and basic but the user can switch it up with their favorite wallpaper, if you a fan of pink like I am there are hints of pink through out this theme such as the focus icons, menus and notifiers, fonts are clear and a good size. I think as new designer she did a fabulous job. Check out her blog at http://yukidesignz.blogspot.com/ for more fantastic themes.
Hello everyone
Hope you all are having a great day. A couple of weeks ago I was given the application TAWKON

to try out on my Blackberry. For those of you who don’t know the App its where it measures the levels of radiation on your phone. Given the articles that have recently been published about radiation and health risks I thought to give it a try. I have to admit that I was shocked at some levels of radiation just in my apartment, the application is also neat because as I was on a call the phone kept beeping to let me now that the level was high. I noticed at the Mall or at offices it was extremely high as well. The application also gives the user the option to switch to speaker or handset for calls as it is safer. When I went out of town during the drive, it kept beeping between green and red levels of radiation. I have to say that this application taught me alot about cell phone use and I was glad to see that my Blackberry 9700 is not among the top 20 for high levels. I would encourage all my readers to try out this application as it can be very important to your health.
